System Admin Pro does not show banned IP’s

I updated fail2ban from version 0.8.14 to 0.9.4 manually. After the update System Admin stopped displaying banned IPs in the Intrusion Detection section. IPTables still shows the correct banned IPs and I am receiving emails. What needs to be done to allow the Banned IP’s to display in the Intrusion Detection section of System Admin again.

FreePBX 14.0.13.26
System Admin 14.0.38.8

I am not able to send email pages (SMS) after receiving a voicemail. My mail queue is full of messages that have not sent yet. I am able to receive voicemail emails just fine. I have system admin pro and tried the debug feature and get the below response. Can anyone tell me what is wrong?

Noticed a problem today when a user tried to park a line they got an error ‘Failed to Load xml file 1’

Upon checking we noticed that Endpoint Manager and Phone Apps is disabled awaiting a security update.

im not sure if this is similar to SEC-2020-004 - Disabled Module Preventing Update
but our deployment i sunder 1 year and i thought we bought a 25 year license. And perhaps its not a license issue but why would the system be disabled instead of just notifying us? We cant just do an upgrade and reboot the server in the middle of a workweek.

Any ideas on why this is occurring? screenshots attached.

Thanks.

Are there any options to do an unattended installation of Zulu? It woud be great if there would be switches for the installer executable to do a silent install and an option for user or system install.

Bug: Zulu Android Mobile App

@wkeit wrote:

Device: Pixel 4 XL
OS: Android 10, build QQ2A.200305.003
Lastest app version from Google Play store

Problem
Sign-in / Add Account is not saved. When an account is added, it functions fine. When the app is closed, reopened - it asks to add an account again.

I notice that the app’s background activity still occurs as it shows the latest message if I were to long-pause click on the app.

Troubleshoot Steps Taken
Cleared storage and cache from the app. After that didn’t work, I uninstalled the app and reinstalled. It still persisted.

I then did both steps, restart first before the reinstall. Same issue.

I checked with another user that had Android but was on a Samsung Galaxy device instead - the user initially did not have the same issue; however, a day later - is now reporting of the same problem.

Zulu Mobile hangs up as soon as call is picked up

I have a customer I’m trying to install zulu for. I make a call through the a PC/Laptop using the zulu app, all is fine. If I make a call through my ipad, iphone, or android phone the zulu app hangs up(like it crashes) as soon as the call is picked up. Sometime I can get like 15 seconds of a call in. I have even tried a VPN back to the office from the mobile device and it still does it. I have posted the debug log below(sorry not sure how to post it nicely)

I changed the FQDN to HOSTNAME to not post it.

Zulu Desktop Client stops after 3 times ringing when calling Zulu

@oli170 wrote:

Hi,
when I make a call to an extension with only Zulu client registered from a Zulu client it rings three times, then it stops - on both sides.
When I make a call to an extension with Zulu and a hardware device registered also, after three rings it stops ringing on Zulu client - not on hardware device and not in my calling Zulu client.
When I make a call to an extension with both Zulu and hardware from a hardware device, then Zulu recipient stops after 3 rings, hardware devices keep ringing.

I cannot find any hint in any log for this behaviour. In this way it is not usable for us to use Zulu as Client for home office, because you have to be very quick to catch a call till it is gone after three rings.

Does anyone encounter same problem? Is there any hint to get around this?
I tried with Linux and Windows Client, stable Version 3.2, 3.4 and alpha 3.4.1 also - same thing on all clients. I also didn’t find any configuration issue which could be the cause.

Thanks!

Regards, oli

Extension routes broken after update to FreePBX15

@marcelser wrote:

After upgrade my system to FreePBX15 the extension routes module is broken. First it was listed as “Upgrade to 15.0.1 and Enable” and when I tried that it gave me some strange SQLError about a duplicate key. So I tried to uninstall/reinstall it. Unfortunately the uninstallation only worked partially and now when I try to reinstall it I get the error “SQLSTATE[42S02]: Base table or view not found: 1146 Table ‘asterisk.extensionroutes’ doesn’t existIninitalization of extensionroutes multi-insert failed::”. Any ideas on how to fix this issue I badly need “extension routes” to work. Of course as the upgrade has broken it I obsiouly don’t want to buy a paid subscription.

I already tried force installing it through fwconsole with same error.

Sysadmin Pro OpenVPN does not open port 1194 when Firewall is disabled

I have Distro - FreePBX 14.0.13.26

Purchased SysAdmin Pro for easy setup of OpenVPN.
PBX is behind firewall/NAT so FreePBX firewall is set to disabled.

It looks like fail2ban & iptables are still running though. Setting up OpenVPN via sysadmin pro
still does not allow traffic via port 1194.

What is the proper way to set up OpenVPN using sysadmin pro when firewall is set to disable?

On Zulu softphone for iOS I have noticed that when answering calls it will say “connectivity issue” and I made a call out and when the other person picked up, it ended the call. I have also noticed when making sure during a call that the phone was connected, it ended the app. This is a recent install and the desktop client is working flawlessly. We just started trying the iOS/Android App.

Queue Agent is not Authorized in the Phone Apps module for extension

@Flurd wrote:

I am getting this error message when pressing the Queue Agent XML-API button. The extension/user is is a member of one group which is allowed to access phone apps and the queue agent app is in the active list. However, the same error appears even if I override Rest API to apps and Phone Apps to say it is allowed instead of inherited.

Have I missed something or is this an issue with the most recent update?

EDIT Just to add, if I specify the available queues on the extension/user when overriding then it does work but it’s not possible to specify which queues should be available on the group because the GUI doesn’t offer the dropdown menu.

Hi,

i have a problem with the exp40 module. I try to set up the configuration via the template, for phone its working fine (BLF, LINE) but for the exp40 not. After that I used the basefile to program some keys but even these are not used. If I log in directly on the phone and select the expansion, the keys are taken over. Could it be the EPM or am I doing something wrong?

Broadcast Module: Silence When Attempting to Set Destination to Audio Playback

@tomgriffin wrote:

I’m experimenting with the trial version of the Broadcast Module to see if I can use it to dispatch an audio announcement to a set of external phone numbers. I have it setup like this:

The call is generated - but there is no audio playback. In fact, I’ve tried other methods of triggering the playback of an audio file - including setting the destinations to:

  • extensions with hold music (this results in just reg ringing)
  • misc destinations pointed to extension tied to misc application pointed to announcement (silence)

When looking at the log file, FreePBX doesn’t even seem to attempt playback of the audio file:

The correct address is specified in Sysadmin, Email Setup.
The correct address is specified in Advanced, User Management Module and Backup Module

EPM "swallows" all umlauts

Is there a trick to enter umlauts in the BLF? Unfortunately these are completely deleted after saving. But in Germany there are names with umlauts.
Hello,

For example, if I enter the name “Müller”, it becomes “Mller”.

This is already deleted directly in EPM. If a corresponding name is entered there and I go to save, the umlauts have disappeared again and can therefore not be transferred to the phone.

The phones can have umlauts. Currently I have to add this by hand again and again if something has changed in the provisioning.

Greetings
Dirk
